• 2006 Nightmare Year is almost over!

  But not before another car accident. A medium size dog bolted in front of my car on the way to work this morning. I slowed to a stop and was rear-ended by the car behind me. Swerving was not an option and hitting him was out of the question. How that fella got across a busy street like Keystone safely with four lanes of traffic during rush hour, I’m not sure… but I’m glad he did.

  At first, I chastised myself for causing an accident but in hindsight either I would of hit him and stopped or stopped previously to hitting him. Either way there was no avoiding stopping somewhat suddenly. The woman in the car behind me was a deaf/mute. Unfortunately, her car crumpled in front like an aluminum can and needed to be towed. She was pretty anxious because she couldn’t find her husband’s pager. On the drive to her home, I learned she has two small children. We were both grateful they were not in her car this morning. When I dropped her off she gestured with her pointer finger down her cheek from her eye. I think that means, “I’m sorry”.

  My plea. My apology to the universe because I’m certain I must have done something horribly wrong to garner so much negative karma this year. Ok. So here it is. Whatever I have done to anyone or anything I am sincerely sorry. Please, please, please lay off of me and PLEASE no more critters darting in front of my car. That’s just cruel.
