An unsurprising truth
In an article by EGM, March 2007 called Spies Like US about phony blogs placed by corporations to infiltrate the internet with their propaganda the following was reported:
When Al Gore’s global-warming-awareness movie An Inconvenient Truth hit theaters last year, an amateurish video called Al Gore’s Penguin Army popped up on YouTube in response. In its attempt to poke fun at the film, the video failed to be …you know, funny. The real punch line came days later, when the Wall Street Journal traced the video back to the DCI Group, a PR firm representing ExxonMobil. Surprise!

You know I’m not up on the whole global warming thing, so I try to stay away from this subject for that reason. I have heard reports that the temp of the earth is cyclical, and that makes sense with the whole nature thing, but then I’ve heard reports that the earth is warming and it’s real. I am skeptical because the Al Gores are screaming the sky is falling, but likewise skeptical of the other side saying it’s bogus, when even if it IS bogus…is cutting back on pollution such a bad thing? I mean, even if we’re good for a few thousand millenia, what would be so bad about reducing waste and smog?
I just don’t know enough about the subject to really form an opinion. It’s on my list of things to research one day.
Ya, keep reminding me the reasons why I am a socialist.
^^I know a lot about that subject.
Oh that is RICH… lol
ryc: I thought that was a great movie… I haven’t seen it in years though I believe it was one of the first movies with the NC17 rating…

Oh… I’m doing ArtOMat this weekend… I just HAVE to. lol
the internet is now the new frontier on this information war…
Yup. The hegemony is trying to maintain control. They already own the traditional outlets, and now they are trying to own the Internet too. Check into the issue of net neutrality, see who is behind it, and ask yourself what they are really trying to accomplish.
Thanks…I was pretty pleased with myself for pulling that one off. I mean, I really had not prepared a speech. So when I heard the best man start tapping his glass with his fork, I just sotr of groaned to myself.
